Last fall/winter, used priced dropped off a cliff to a point where we overshot too low (too much fear of inventory). Today, we've simply overshot to the upside as every dealer looks to used units save their sinking ship. A regression to the mean would be expected (i.e. used prices falling)

Dale,

I was going to Email you. I see a slight, but noticeable drop in prices this week. Amazingly, in some venues that generally pull much higher and "herd" pricing. You'll enjoy my views on this one.

If this continues, I truly believe the guys and gals that are turning fast will reap the rewards. Slow turners will be buried within 35 days while we earn profits at the equally aggressive pricing. If this 2nd Quarter theory is correct, a drop of 8% or more for the winter months could be the key to drawing out the customers in our traditionally slower winter months. Now if we can some how convince the boys at NADA and BLACK BOOK to turn a blind eye, maybe the dealers can start to earn some respectable profits. I'm sure this post will get some nice comments.
